I still can't bite very well! And my incisors are absolutely useless, the moment something hits them, it's like they'll come off (no, they are not wobbling. They just ache unbearably.) Hay, buhay na may braces. *sad*sad*sad*
I went to mass today, and the priest started his homily with this:
"Pinapahalagahan pa kaya ng kabataan ngayon ang pagpapahalaga ng mga magulang nila sa kanilang edukasyon?" It was a rhetorical question, granted, but I believe that the thought he wanted to impress was partly untrue. I
still think that a lot of kids today value schooling
and education. Some of them just want to enjoy things
while they are young. It doesn't follow that when you ask for money for a gimmick, you're not intent on focusing on your studies anymore. A little fun can be useful too, anyway.
(I didn't hear most of his homily though. It was quite boring. It was on sacrificing the things we hold dear for some greater dream, some greater achievement. Sad, I used to feel that way. I used to
want to give everything up for just one thing,
just one. I never got it - and it taught me a lesson.
No thing is so valuable that it's worth everything else. Cynical? Yeah. But hey,
given my current situation, it's pretty hard to be blamed. :P)
While we were eating dinner, Atsie, all of a sudden, had the urge to gossip on
Gretchen B. Hee. Here goes:
Gretchen had just arrived at RCBC plaza with four bodyguards. She was there to go to her usual gym session on one of the floors of the building. She casually enters an empty elevator and her four guards accompany her. Just as the doors close, an old lady hurries up and pushes the elevator door to open. She seemed in a hurry, however, Gretchen, for some unfathomable reason, tells her bodyguard, "Huwag mo nga papasukin 'yang matanda sa elevator ko." The old lady was obviously angry, and she ran over to the guard. Later, Gretchen was banned from ever going to RCBC plaza for life. Apparently, the solitary old lady she so casually disrespected and forced out of her elevator was Mrs. Yuchengco, a member of the clan who owns RCBC and the building Gretchen was in.
Serves her right. :P Heheheee!
Anyhow, whatever joy I felt these past two days, they faded. I feel
used. I wonder if this is how it feels when you give.
I would give her everything - but for what? I'm not some check someone can just cash in when they want to...
But why do I feel this way? Am I willing to go through this for her? *sigh* All of a sudden, I feel deprived, I feel less than human.
Save me.
